Of course all of this is in memory of our beloved brother and son, Luke.
Luke passed away May 22, 2006 at the age of 20, due to complications from juvenile diabetes.
Luke was a 2004 graduate of Aurora High School and had just completed his sophomore year at Missouri State
at the time of his death. He was majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology and considering attending medical school.
Luke loved to spend time with his family and many friends and he loved to play poker. It only
seemed fitting that one way we honor and remember him is by bringing people together for a Texas Hold'em tournament in
his name. We are excited to create this legacy for Luke and only wish he could be here to share in the fun.
Money raised will be evenly split between the Lucas Brett Stringer Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation.
